Our take
I've been using the Dell S3422DW for a few weeks now, and I have mixed feelings. The 34-inch curved panel is immersive, and the 3440x1440 resolution gives plenty of screen real estate for work and gaming. The height-adjustable stand is a nice touch. However, the lack of a high refresh rate makes it less ideal for competitive gaming—it's clearly a productivity-first monitor that can game on the side. The color accuracy is decent out of the box, but nothing jaw-dropping. For $300, you get a solid ultrawide without esports-level performance. If you're a casual gamer or need a wide workspace, it does the job.
